Sgt.-Pilot L. L. Williams graduated from Hagersville last Friday afternoon. Lew as he is called by his friends graduated with a class of 43. He is now spending his leave with his wife (formerly Helen Mark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Mark, Ridout St.) at the home of his parents in Foxworn Manitoba.

Word has been received by Mrs. Llew Williams, 21 Ridout St. that her husband Sgt. Pilot L. L. Williams has arrived safely overseas.

P.O. WILLIAMS OF LINDSAY, KILLED; 31ST
Young Officer Married to Helen Mark, of Lindsay—Buried in Scotland.
Mrs. Llewellyn Williams, 21 Ridout St., received word on Saturday that her husband, Pilot Officer Williams was reported as missing. On Sunday official word was received that the young officer had been killed in action, and a later message on Sunday revealed the fact that Pilot Officer Williams met his death on May 31st and that his funeral would take place on Tuesday at Montrose, Angus, Scotland.
Pilot Officer Lew. Williams, who was 23 years of age on Sunday, was known to a large number of citizens in town and district, having been employed with Mr. J. M. Fee in "The Friendly Store" for some months prior to enlisting in the R.C.A.F.
Following his initial training at Oshawa and later at Hagersville, the young airman was sent overseas last August. Recently he merited his Commission, and in his last letter home intimated that he would soon be in active conflict over enemy territory. He was a quiet, likeable young man of friendly disposition. His marriage to Helen Mark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Mark, took place in the Queen St. United Church, shortly before he left for overseas. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Williams, of Foxwarren, Man., where the young man was born. He has two brothers in the service, and two brothers and a young sister at home.
Mrs. Williams accompanied her mother to Crystal Beach on Sunday. where Constable Mark (formerly of Lindsay police force) is employed.
Flyer From Lindsay Buried In Scotland
Lindsay. June 7 (Special)—Official confirmation has been received by Mrs. Helen Williams, 21 Ridout St., Lindsay, that her husband, Pilot Officer Llewelyn Williams, was killed in action on May 31, and was buried at Mount Rose, Angus, Scotland, on Tuesday.
P.O. Williams, a son of Mr. And Mrs. Edward Williams of Foxwarren, Man., came to Lindsay three years ago. He was a member of the Queen St. United Church and the Young People’s Association. He would have celebrated his 23rd birthday on Sunday.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.
Letters Arrive After Young Officer's Death
Mrs. Llewellyn Williams of 21 Ridout St., has received two or three letters written by her husband, Pilot Officer L. Williams. They were written shortly before he was killed in action. P O. Williams, who at one time worked for J. Fee, of the Friendly Store, was killed May 31st, following one of his initial operations.
